Common Ground Garden

We are deeply saddened by the closure of Common Ground Garden Supply and Education Center in Palo Alto, CA, but we want you all to know that we still have a presence in the community!

Our beautiful Common Ground Garden is located at 687 Arastradero Road in Palo Alto and is alive and well.  The garden, like the Common Ground Store, is a project of the nonprofit Ecology Action, and its focus is teaching people to grow food sustainably. It is a wonderful place for people of all ages to learn about using Biointensive gardening to produce food, build soil and conserve resources - especially water!  The Common Ground Garden Manager, Kathryn Rutti, is graduate of Ecology Action’s Biointensive Educational Program and has a special interest in culinary and medicinal herbs.  Mia Sasaki, our Edible Educator, is the newest member of the team, specializing in garden curriculum development.  Both are eager to meet you!

We will continue to run gardening classes and workshops throughout the year, and will also continue to work with local schools through our youth education program.  We are so grateful for your support, and will be sure to keep in touch with you all about our schedule of events and activities. For a schedule of classes and more information about the garden, please visit our website at: www.CommonGroundGarden.org.
