Ecology Action

For nearly three decades, Ecology Action has been building a global program for truly sustainable farming. The heart of Ecology Action’s work is in the Research Farm nestled in the hills of Willits, California.

Individuals in 130 countries are using the sustainable, GROW BIOINTENSIVE® food-growing method to produce higher yields of food while conserving water, fertilizer and energy resources. These techniques are a practical solution for lasting food abundance and the goal of eliminating global hunger while “growing soil”.

The director of Ecology Action is John Jeavons, known internationally as the leading developer of small-scale food production and techniques utilizing GROW BIOINTENSIVE® culture. He is the author of the bestselling text, How to Grow More Vegetables, Fruit, Nuts, Berries, Grains and Other Crops..., which is in print worldwide.
